BLUE SURFITE RECTANGLE RING WITH RECYCLED STERLING STAR STAMPED BAND - UK SIZE M
Blue Surfite Rectangle Ring with Silver Star Stamped Band is a one of a kind piece, handmade in recycled sterling silver. The Surfite stone has soft swirls of blue, teal and white that remind me of sea and sky, and no two stones are ever the same. The wide silver band has been hand stamped with small stars and lightly oxidised to bring out the detail. It feels solid and comfortable to wear, whether you choose it as an everyday ring or something a little special.
Surfite is made from resin run offs created when glazing surfboards. Over time layers of resin build up creating a slab of multiple colours. In the past these run offs would have been broken up and sent to land fill. Instead, by cutting them into shapes which can be made into jewellery, this process reduces the amount that is sent to landfill by up to 90%.
