Full description
An up -cycled desktable lamp created from a 1940s 50s Model 7 Avometre. Converted by an experienced maker with new wiring ,lamp holder and switch and plug. (Bulb not included ) ,Bayonet fitting. Been safety tested. The AVOmeter model 7 was a development of the original AVO multimeter which started life back in 1923, and although that was initially a DC-only instrument many of its features remained almost unaltered right through to the meter shown here. In particular the mirror scale, the "smiley" meter scale, the two switches and two terminals.
The stainless arm is articulated in 2 places so the glass shade can be put in a multitude of places. . This item has been hand made and is fairly unique all new parts used in conversion the original Avometre is some 80 years old. The original use is no longer valid. Would prefer collection but can post at buyers cost.

My products are up cycled from original vintage and used items . A level of patina and wear and tear is to be expected. This is its unique character and age . The item is up-cycled and re purposed ,the original functionality most of the time will not apply. My items are for display and used as lamps. We install all new electrical components and sometimes remove parts of the original item in order to up-cycle. Most lamps come with all new wiring , lamp holder ,switch, plug, Safety PAT tested.
