The inspiration for this brooch comes from the calabash, a symbol of fortune and prosperity (Fu Lu) in Chinese culture. Its form is pleasantly plump and distinctive. Each individual calabash is crafted through about 8 hours of meticulous crochet weaving, using a single, continuous 40-meter strand of colored copper wire.
Each calabash is adorned with natural gemstone chips in harmonious hues, resembling morning dew or mist droplets clinging to its surface.
