Full description
This one-off item is made from full grain, vegetable tan leather. It is hand stitched, using "Ritza Tiger" thread, renowned for it's superior strength and wear-resistance.
I stitched it using the saddle stitch method, which is far superior to other methods...machine stitching cannot come close!
The black loop runs the length of the fob, which gives it a 3-dimensional/padded effect (making it more tactile in the hand) and also gives added overall robustness.
The edges have been hand burnished, then slicked with "Tokonole", to leave a smooth finish.
The ring and double capped rivet are in a bright nickel finish.
Overall length is 105mm, and width is 34/35mm.
This lovely item took far longer to make than I anticipated...that's why it's truly unique, as I won't be making another one!
It would make an ideal gift, or a treat for yourself, which could last a lifetime (if you look after it!).
