Growing up in rural Somerset trees held a fascination for me. Dad and I would either climb up them in the evening and wait for the foxes and badgers to come out or he would show me how to use them to find my way even after dark.
I don't think that I'm alone in seeing them as friends who were old when I was born and will hopefully still be standing proud long after I'm gone.
Look out for your local conservation group and spare some time to look after your old friends!

Full description
A lovely bright and cheerful winter scene. Standing out against a bright blue sky with distant mountains in the distance, this little tree is holding its own. Standing proudly covered with a frosty coat it looks out across the wintery land below, waiting patiently for spring to come again.
Dimensions: Painting is 10"x12" and framed its 11.5"x13.5".
