I love creating images which bring together traditional ideas with a modern style of illustration. I visited Amsterdam in the summer of 2025 and was inspired to create a Gingerbread Village Christmas Scene.

An Amsterdam-inspired Christmas card featuring a sweet gingerbread house scene, created from my original illustration.
This design was inspired by a trip to Amsterdam and the beautiful character of the city's traditional canal houses. I wanted to give the familiar gingerbread house a little Dutch twist, creating a cosy and playful Christmas scene with plenty of festive charm.
Whether you're sending Christmas wishes from home or looking for a card for someone who loves Amsterdam, this is a little piece of festive travel inspiration to pop in the post.
