Full description
Lovely handmade blue fused glass heart pendant which has been drilled and fitted with a stainless steel chain.
Made using recycled glass reclaimed from my tile cutter after cutting blue glass pendants. The reclaimed glass was a mixture of fine powder and small pieces from various shades of blue glass and clear glass. This was collected from my glass saw, washed, dried and sifted to clean and separate the pieces. These were then placed in a heart mould with the powdered glass at the bottom and the small pieces on top. It was then fired in the kiln at over 800 C to fuse all of the pieces together before being drilled and fire polished in the kiln again at over 700 C. Once cooled the pendant has been finished with stainless steel hanging loops and a stainless steel chain.
