Full description
A lovely one of a kind fused glass art pendant suspended on a sterling silver bail, the Moonlight Hares necklace is inspired by landscapes and nature.
I have created this piece using using using glass powders, blended together with organic binders to form modelling glass which has then been used to create the landscape background colours. After being shaped the glass has been fired in the kiln at over 800 C and then hand painted using glass enamels and a tiny sprinkle of dichroic powders for a little coppery sparkle. It has then been fired for a second time to fuse the enamels to the glass leaving a permanent design with a shiny finish.
I use a digitally controlled kiln and the piece has been fully annealed at each stage.
The pendant is finished with a 925 sterling silver bail which has been secured in place using a strong epoxy adhesive.
Complete with a 1.4mm 925 sterling silver diamond cut belcher chain in a choice of 16, 18 or 20 inches or can be purchased without a chain if preferred.
