Nothing beats a gorgeous red bag to lift an outfit and give it a bit of drama! I've teamed this beautiful, vibrant rescued leather with the Ellana pattern by Petal (though I have changed several aspects).
Using rescued leather that would otherwise end up in landfill, to make all the bags in my Folksy shop is a decision that I’m a little bit proud of, It allows me to create sustainable and eco-friendly products that give new life to discarded materials. Each bag made from rescued leather showcases the beauty and character of this Upcycled material.
I believe that by repurposing leather in this way, I am not only reducing waste but also making a positive impact on the environment. The bags I make are not just stylish and elegant, but they also serve as a reminder of the importance of conscious consumerism. In buying them, you’re helping that legacy (and you’re getting a long lasting, beautifully made, one-of-a-kind bag) and doing your part against fast fashion.

The leather used to make this bag is sourced from a factory that uses high-quality leathers in the manufacturing of high-end furniture. The pieces used in our bags are actually offcuts that were destined for landfill. This means that the leather is considered "Upcycled" and may have some unique characteristics. As an organic material, the leather may have creases, variations in color, flaws, blemishes, as well as variations in thickness and texture. These characteristics should not be seen as defects or faults, but rather as part of the charm and story of the bag. Please note that due to the nature of the upcycled leather, we are unable to accept returns or provide refunds based on these natural variations. We believe that these unique qualities add to the individuality and beauty of each bag.
