Mermaid decorations.
Each little mermaid is handmade and unique with their own personality.
They can add a little bit of magic and sparkle to a Christmas tree, but they can also be a unique decoration for all year round. They could be the perfect gift for someone who lives near the sea and loves mermaids.
The stars that the mermaids are sat in have a hanging loop so that they can be hung from places, for example an indoor Christmas tree, or the edge of a mantel piece or shelf.
I try to upcycle lace to create the tails for these mermaids.
They have pipe cleaner bodies and curly wool hair. Their heads are made from wooden beads with carefully hand drawn features.
Each mermaid is in a metal star which is embellished with tiny shells, sea glass and blue pottery foraged from beaches in Cornwall. There are also some tiny bells hanging from the top of the stars.
Each mermaid has a tag which has their name on and something that they love.
The stars are 16cm approximately, plus hanging loop.
