Full description
This papier-mâché hound has a wonderfully soulful, handmade presence. It’s sculpted in a seated pose, with long legs stretched forward and a slightly slouched posture that gives it a calm, thoughtful air.
The hound’s most striking feature is its long, floppy ears, painted in warm rusty orange tones that frame the face and add a soft contrast to the pale cream and white body. Subtle washes of colour and visible texture highlight the sculpting marks, celebrating the hand-built process rather than hiding it.
Its face is simple and expressive, with a dark snout and gentle contours that suggest quiet loyalty and patience. Overall, the piece feels characterful and endearing—full of charm, personality, and that slightly whimsical quality that makes papier-mâché so special.
