I made this blanket because I wanted to experiment with large granny squares, and how to put them together in a novel way. Rather than crocheting them together! I used navy yarn to sew the squares together with large stitches. I like simple, cleaner lines and the overall elegant look. The blanket is soft and heavy and feels wonderful.

Made from giant granny squares, this blanket has a lovely drape and is incredibly soft thanks to the silk/cotton yarn. It measures about 45 by 60 inches (110 by 150 cm2), perfect for the sofa and looks great when folded up too!
