Full description
The Sea Glass part of this necklace was made using standard silversmithing techniques.
Sterling silver bezel wire was measured and fitted around the perimeter of the green sea glass.
The bezel was soldered closed and further soldered onto a Sterling silver backplate. After filing the backplate to fit the bezel a jump ring was soldered onto the top of the bezel. The sea glass was fitted into the bezel and this was attached to a lotus flower and the rolo chain was added.
The necklace is approximately 19 inches long to the bottom of the sea glass. The chain part is approximately 17 inches long.
The sea glass part of the necklace measure approximately 1 cm by 8 mm.
The lotus flower and chain are stamped 925 and the recycled Sterling silver used to create the housing for the sea glass was sourced from a reputable British bullion company.
