Full description
This artwork shows two poppy seed heads drawn in a simple, elegant line style. The tall, slender stems cross gently near the bottom, giving the composition a sense of balance and quiet movement. Each poppy head is outlined with fine black lines, capturing the distinctive rounded form and delicate crown at the top without heavy detail.
Behind the line drawing sits a warm watercolor wash in shades of ochre, amber, and soft rust. The paint is loosely applied, with visible texture and uneven edges that add depth and an organic feel. The warm tones contrast beautifully with the crisp black lines, evoking late summer or early autumn.
