I’ve always had a strong interest in 3D modelling, 3D printing and LED lighting. Over time, I started looking for ways to combine all three into something creative and practical for the home.
That’s how this light-up wall map of England came about. I wanted to make something more interesting than the usual flat, single-colour maps you see everywhere. Each region is designed and printed individually, then carefully lit to create depth and subtle lighting effects rather than just a basic glow.
Every map is designed, printed and assembled by hand, focusing on clean lines, even light diffusion and a solid finish. The result is a modern piece of wall art that works just as well as ambient lighting as it does a statement feature.

This product is intended for indoor decorative use only. Powered by low-voltage 5V USB. Use only a standard USB power source such as a phone charger, USB plug, or USB port. Do not connect to mains electricity directly. Do not expose to water or moisture. Do not modify the electronics or wiring. Keep out of reach of small children. This is not a toy. The product may become slightly warm during normal use. Do not cover while powered on. Housing is made from 3D-printed plastic (PLA).

Light Up England with Heritage and Craft
This handcrafted LED wall map of England combines modern lighting with traditional design to create a striking piece of wall art.
Unlike flat, single-colour maps, this design lights each historic region individually, creating depth and subtle lighting effects across the whole map. The LEDs cycle through a range of preset colour patterns automatically, or can be controlled manually using the included remote.
The map is divided into 12 historic regions inspired by Englands cultural and geographical heritage, making it both decorative and meaningful.
Designed, 3D printed and assembled by hand, this piece works equally well as statement wall art or ambient lighting.
