I started making LED light boxes as a creative side project, combining my interest in lighting, design, and retro sci-fi aesthetics. This particular piece was inspired by the dramatic use of red light and typography often seen in 80s-style sci-fi visuals. I wanted to turn that feeling into a compact desk light that people could enjoy in their own space.
Safety information
This product is a low-voltage LED desk light designed for indoor use only. It is powered via 5V USB-C and should be used with a standard USB phone charger or USB port. Fast chargers, laptop chargers, or high-voltage power supplies should not be used. The enclosure should not be opened or modified while the product is connected to power. The light is intended for desk or shelf display and is not suitable for use as a main room light. It should not be exposed to water, moisture, or damp environments, and it should not be covered while in use. During prolonged operation the LEDs may become slightly warm. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit at all times. This product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of young children. It contains small internal electronic components and adult supervision is recommended. The enclosure is made from 3D-printed plastic and contains internal electronic components including LEDs, a controller, and wiring. If the product shows any signs of damage, discontinue use immediately.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

This handmade LED light box is inspired by the iconic retro sci-fi aesthetic of Stranger Things, designed as a statement piece for desks, shelves, and cosy ambient lighting.
Each light box is 3D printed, assembled, and finished by hand in the UK, with care taken to ensure clean edges, even light diffusion, and a solid, premium feel. The design glows beautifully when lit, creating a striking atmospheric effect without being overpowering.
