Hi! I’m a maker based in Walthamstow, and I’ve always had a soft spot for hands-on learning. Before I started playing with lasers, I was a childminder. Back then, I spent so much time making my own little resources to help the kids grasp new things, and I quickly realised that if a child can touch it and move it, they 'get' it so much faster.
I made these wooden fraction circles because I was tired of seeing those flimsy plastic sets that end up lost or broken under the sofa. I wanted to create something sturdy and natural that feels nice to hold and actually makes sense to a child. Each set is cut right here in my studio, designed with a lot of love and my old childminding 'hat' on, to help make those tricky math moments a little bit easier and a lot more fun.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.
