This sculpture was born from a desire to capture the quiet, spirited energy of the red squirrel a creature that feels like a tiny, rare, copper-colored spirit of the ancient woodland. I have always been captivated by the "micro-landscapes" we often walk past: the way moss grips a weathered branch or how an oak tree creates food and shelter for so many wild creatures who in return bury acorns that nay obe day become another mighty oak. My goal was to stop time and preserve one of those fleeting moments of forest magic.

Set upon a rustic wood slice base decorated with tiny felted mushrooms, mossy rocks & real pinecones, this piece is a tiny frozen moment of woodland wonder.
