The Story Behind the Board
This olive wood board began its life in a sun-soaked Mediterranean grove, where olive trees grow slowly over decades, developing their beautifully twisted grain and warm golden tones. When an olive tree reaches the end of its fruit-bearing life, the wood is carefully reclaimed rather than wasted — giving it a second life with purpose and meaning.
Each board is shaped by hand, guided by the natural curves and character of the wood rather than forcing it into uniform lines. Knots, grain swirls, and colour variations are embraced, ensuring every piece is truly one of a kind.
I began offering personalised high quality boards after seeing how meaningful simple, everyday objects can become when they carry a name, date, or message. A board used for preparing meals or sharing food often becomes part of family traditions — brought out for celebrations, gifted at milestones, and kept long after trends fade.
