This make was inspired by our very creative aunt/sister who showed us how to make these stylish and practical coasters. We found the tiles, for sale, at a local shop and had fun matching fabric to each coaster!

These handmade ceramic tile coasters are part of our Perfectly Imperfect range, celebrating reuse, texture, and the beauty of things made by hand rather than machine.
Each coaster measures 10cm x 10cm and is made with a ceramic tile base, finished with a felt backing to help protect surfaces. The top features a fabric square created using fabric scraps and found fabrics, layered over pelmet material to give a firm, practical base.
Because these are made using reclaimed materials and an experimental process, there may be small bumps or uneven areas on the surface. This doesn’t affect their use you can still happily rest your cuppa on them but it does mean each one is unique and full of character. Please see the photos for details.
A thoughtful, sustainable coaster that gives leftover materials a second life, perfect for anyone who appreciates handmade homeware with a story behind it.
