This piece was created during a period of deep inward focus, when attention was turned more towards listening than doing. Much of the work took place slowly and deliberately, with long stretches of quiet concentration where the repetitive dot work became a way of staying present and steady.
While the overall composition was considered in advance, the process itself was allowed to unfold gradually. As the layers built, the eye motif began to feel less symbolic and more watchful — a steady presence rather than an image imposed on the surface.
The rhythm of the dot work created a sense of containment and clarity, with the balance between structure and intuition guiding the making. The finished piece holds that sense of awareness and stillness, shaped as much by the process as by the form itself.

Full description
This mandala painting was created as a focal piece for an inner altar or sacred space.
At its centre is a sacred eye motif, symbolising awareness, protection, and inner sight. The surrounding mandala and layered dot work developed slowly and deliberately, guided by rhythm, balance, and stillness rather than a fixed design.
Each dot is applied individually by hand, building depth and quiet visual movement across the surface. The eye draws inspiration from ancient symbolism often associated with the Eye of Shiva, representing perception beyond the surface and the ability to see clearly inward. This reference is offered as contemplative symbolism rather than religious iconography, allowing space for personal meaning and connection.
The finished piece feels calm, watchful, and quietly powerful, intended for environments used for reflection, rest, or intentional living.
This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork. Once sold, it will not be recreated.
