Full description
'Walkies', a short run, hand printed edition drypoint print of a spaniel dog peeping.
It was printed using a roller press onto 250gm paper using Akua soy based environmentally friendly inks. Each print is unique as the plate is inked up every single time for each print and therefore variations occur. The different colours that appear in this print are all applied to the same plate and printed in one pull through the press.
The plates used in drypoint printing are fragile and this means that unlike etching plates that people are familiar with, a drypoint plate can only produce a print run of around 15 prints.
Size:
The print comes in an 10" x 8" antique white mount and will fit a standard 10" x 8" frame. It was printed from a plastic plate which is 150mm x 100mm and the print is on A4 paper.
