Amazonite was given its name after the river in South America due to an abundance of the stone found in Brazil, although it’s been located in many other areas worldwide. It’s been used for thousands of years for trinkets, amulets and also for writing tablets. It was originally thought that its blue colour was linked to copper however research has found that it’s actually due to small traces of lead and water in its chemical composition. Amazonite is often associated with harmony and communication, making it a ‘peacemaker’ stone.

Full description
A beautiful pair of silver plated butterfly shaped charm earrings, each with a little round amazonite stone. These butterflies are lovingly polished and upcycled and are patterned on the front, with the word 'change' on the back.
These earrings are made using silver plated wire, flower shaped spacer beads and earring hooks.
