I started creating these mirrors in 2019 when large quantities of fishing gear were washing ashore on our Dorset beaches.
When Weymouth & Portland Marine Litter Project came into being a few years later and I saw how they were tackling the problem of marine litter I started to contribute to their cause, with 10% of the proceeds from each mirror and wreath (I also make recycled fishing net wreaths at Christmas).
So far sales of my handiwork have raised several hundred pounds, contributing towards projects such as crab line recycling bins, angling line recycling bins and keeping the shores of our beautiful Fleet lagoon free from marine litter.
