Full description
Here is another handmade upcycled colourful kitsch necklace of eclectic found objects and vintage toys. It is kidcore clutter, rainbow jewellery and a maximalist statement of 80s/90s nostalgia and childhood memories. Iris Apfel is my inspiration for dopamine dressing!
It features a selection of small treasures in the form of a poker chip, a Monopoly Hotel, a Rummikub Joker, Barbie and Polly Pocket accessories, a fishing game piece, a yellow building brick with a universally iconic name, a birthday cake candle-holder, a paperclip, buttons, a metal pin badge featuring a Russian Doll's face - most of which had to be drilled so that I could attach them to the chain. The most challenging item was the vintage ceramic 2 amp fuse which had to be soldered.
It has been photographed fastened at 16.00 inches with 19.25 inches being the total approximate length.
