Here on the small Channel Island of Guernsey, there are at least 30 swimable beaches. Many children spend much of their summers on the beach, with parents joking that they could swim before they could walk. Although I’m more of a summer swimmer, sea swimming has become very popular all year round, with lots of dogs happily joining their people for a swim too!

Full description
Sea sisters’ is an original limited edition linoprint made using the reduction technique. This original linoprint features three people swimming in the sea with two dogs leading the way.
Reduction printing method: After I’ve developed my idea through pencil sketches, I transfer my final sketch onto tradional grey lino before carving away all the white areas. I then print each colour layer, carving away more of the lino each time. Eventually the lino is all carved away so the number of original prints is truly limited as no more can be made from this piece of lino.
I have used Cranfield inks, acid-free paper and a hand-lever press to create this print.
This tiny limited edition of just 7 is printed with oil-based inks on acid-free printmaking paper, measuring approx. A3.
Each print is an original piece of art and small variations may occur. Prints are numbered, signed and titled on the front.
This listing is for one linoprint, unframed.
All prints are shipped with cardboard backing or in tubes for protection. I use recycled or pre-loved packing materials wherever possible.
