If you use a titanium or titanium alloy fastener it is lighter than steel, which means it hangs really well on a belt loop and doesn't pull down as much.

Full description
This listing is for replacing the steel Japanese fish hook, shown in main picture, that comes as standard with the Waylander with a Titanium fastener. Key chain fasteners connect the key chain to the belt loop, belt, rucksack, handbag or any thing else. They come in stainless steel, steel, titanium, brass and silver. These are all made from Titanium or Titanium alloy as described on the photographs. It is worth noting that although pure titanium is lighter and stronger than the alloy they are stiff to use and have little give. These are only available when purchased with the Waylander key chain and not sold separately.
