In the run up to Christmas, I wanted to create a cosy winter scene from imagination, with snowy trees and a starry night sky, but wanted to incorporate some of my favourite alternative elements, such as the bats and ghost. As the scene grew, I liked the idea of the wolf and ghost meeting at the campfire and interacting.

Full description
This A4 print features my original painting Haunted Night on 300 gsm matte card. I used mixed media to create this work: acrylic paint, water soluble wax pastels and a variety of pens and markers.
The scene is set in the depths of winter, depicting a snowy landscape and a row of evergreen trees in the backdrop, beneath a dark night sky filled with swirling snow, stars and bats.
In the foreground, a cosy campfire flickers, as a ghost and wolf meet. The wolf is howling and the ghost appears to be sitting forward slightly on the tree stump it sits on, as though listening intently to what the wolf has to say.
