Beryl came from a drawing or two - I wanted a bear with every feature exaggerated ie- super long arms ,short legs and a very simple face and she originally had a friend - Betty a chicken on wheels. It all came together and I did a coloured pencil drawing of the two. I then made them up in fabric and then Beryl started wearing more elaborate clothing and hats !

Full description
Beryl is made from Osnaburg fabric which has been dyed with coffee then sanded for a prim, vintage look. She is wearing a cotton dress (and big pants) and she wears felt hat ,trimmed with a little felt rose. She is stood on a vintage bobbin on just one foot ( a bit of blue tack under the bobbin would make it a bit more rigid).
She has embroidered features and her hat is removable.
Beryl stands at about 23 cms.
