Fairy doll folded book art decoration.
Each one is handmade and unique with their own personality. They could be placed on a shelf, mantel piece, table and many other places indoors.
I try to upcycle lace to create the top of the dresses for these book page decorations.
The main part of the dress is created from upcycled books folded to create the shape of a dress. Lace is used around the top and bottom of the dresses, and their arms are pipe cleaners. Their dresses are embellished with things like gems, sequins, buttons, beads and shells. They have hair made from either a mixture of different wool or sparkly embroidery threads. They have either shell or button hats or a fabric flower head embellishment. The shell themed fairy decoration carries an accessory of a open shell filled with little sea shells and sea glass. Their heads are wooden beads with carefully hand drawn features.
These book page fairy decorations are 15cm approximately, but vary slightly as they are handmade.
