Full description
These vibrant and cheerful trinket dishes are handcrafted by myself in Wiltshire, using COE90 Bullseye glass. They are perfect for holding jewellery or small items, can be used as a tea light holder, or simply displayed as a charming ornament.
The "on-edge" design is crafted from narrow 6mm strips of glass standing upright, creating a distinctive look. To add extra detail, small droplets of frit (tiny glass pieces) are added to the design.
The glass is fired in a kiln at temperatures up to 1,400 F, fusing the pieces together permanently in a process that takes about 21 hours including cooling. Afterward, the dish is shaped with a second kiln firing that takes an additional 20 hours including cooling.
Each dish measures between 7cm and 7.5cm and comes in a wide range of colours and designs. The kiln-fused process ensures that the colours remain vibrant and never fade.
Every dish is one-of-a-kind, making it a perfect, thoughtful gift. No two are exactly alike.
Please be mindful that despite always ensuring the photos I take for listings are accurate/true in colour, colours may differ slightly from monitor to monitor as not all screen resolutions are set the same.
