This sign was inspired by the old noticeboards you’d find in village halls, school corridors and tucked inside community centres - the ones layered with flyers, reminders and slightly wonky announcements. I wanted to capture that practical, no-nonsense charm but give it a more playful, handcrafted twist. The bold lettering, chunky shadows and ochre backdrop echo those nostalgic utility signs, turning something ordinary into something delightful, tactile and a bit tongue-in-cheek.

120 x 562mm (being a handmade item, please allow a few millimetres tolerance)
A bold, vintage-inspired NOTICES sign to bring a bit of order (and charm) to busy spaces. Hand-painted in warm creams and greys and finished with inky black shadows. Mounted on a rich ochre background, it has that classic utility-board feel - perfect for hallways, kitchens, porches or anywhere that needs a touch of organised chaos.
Handmade, characterful, and ready to hang. A lovely little nod to keeping life in check… or at least pretending to.
