Full description
A love letter to the ever-changing coastline of North Yorkshire. A statement framed woven map of the coast created from two ordnance survey maps woven together to create a three-dimensional recreation. The land is woven in a waffle weave creating dramatic troughs of geological features such as the Hole of Horcum. I collapse this structure into a crackle wave draft to represent the sea, which as a soft wave effect.
Custom framed in a deep plain white wooden box frame under Perspex.
