My inspiration came from how frequently my partner and I travel to Iceland and how we are always on the hunt for proper warm gear. I realised my knitting skills could come in handy to solve this need, so I started making a snood. The snood is simply the best thing for keeping my neck, face, and head warm because it is multifunctional and extremely useful, offering an accessory that is far better than a standard scarf.
Safety information
Ensure the snood is never worn so tightly that it restricts breathing or circulation around your neck. If pulled up over your face, make sure the fabric does not obstruct your vision (especially peripheral vision). For active pursuits, ensure the snood is securely fitted and won't shift or slip unexpectedly Dampness Warning (Cold): Polyester does not absorb much moisture, but in freezing weather, condensation from your breath can cause surface dampness to feel cold. Adjust the snood frequently to let it air out. Ensure the snood is tucked in securely and cannot snag on gear or surrounding objects during activity. Polyester is synthetic and can melt. Keep the snood well away from open flames, sparks, and high heat sources. Regularly inspect the knitting for any loose threads or holes that could cause snagging.
