I have always been drawn to mushrooms; from a fairy perch to their strange biology, they seem semi-mystical. I wanted to capture the joy I get from seeing a new mushroom that has sprouted up overnight in a dinky decoration, so people can bring a little nature into their homes.

3D hanging mushroom ornament, cute and cosy and perfect for autumnal, nature-inspired decor, or maybe your Christmas tree?
I hand-make these little toadstools from reclaimed text-covered paper and beads, intricately crafted into 'fly ageric'-inspired, red and white spotted mushrooms. Each one has unique text and spot placement, and is aestheticly finished from all angles.
Each mushrooms consists of a shapely rolled-paper stem, a red paper cap with white paper spots and a folded paper frill underneath. These paper parts are approx 3.5cm and are assembled with glue and threaded onto white cotton with red and white beads. The finished decoration is approx 5cm tall with approx 13.5cm hanging thread.
Note sizes and colours may vary slightly. The ornament is fragile and only suitable for indoor use out of reach of small children.
