Amazonite was given its name after the river in South America due to an abundance of the stone first found in Brazil, although it’s since been located in many other areas worldwide. It was originally thought that its blue colour was linked to copper, however research has found that it’s actually due to small traces of lead and water in its chemical composition.
Amazonite is often associated with harmony and communication, making it a ‘peacemaker’ stone.

A set of 3 layered necklaces, featuring a carved amazonite stone butterfly, silver plated butterfly and amazonite bamboo shaped charms. They're on silver plated chains of varying lengths with individual clasps so you're free to wear one, two or all three layered together for a statement look, the choice is yours! Each necklace has a silver plated extender chain with a tiny amazonite stone to add a professional finish.

Amazonite butterfly necklace measures 21.5ins (54cm) approx with a 1.5in (3.5cm) extender. The butterfly itself measures 3.5cm x 2.5cm approx.
Amazonite bamboo charm necklace measures 19.5ins (49.5cm) approx with a 1.5in (3.5cm) extender.
Silver plated butterfly charm necklace measures 18.5ins (47cm) with a 1.5ins (3.5cm) extender.
