Chevron Amethyst, also known as Dog Tooth Amethyst, is a variety of that’s mixed with layers of quartz to give the distinctive white V shape within the stone.
Amethyst’s name derives from the Greek word ‘amethystos’, literal translation ‘not intoxicated’! This is linked to the ancient Greek legend where the goddess Diana protected young Amethyst from Bacchus, the god of wine after she rejected his advances.
Amethyst is a birthstone for February and is often associated with helping maintain mental clarity and physical energy.

Full description
I love the shape of these stone earrings, they make me think of the retro flower designs that were around in the 1960s. Each flower is made from chevron amethyst, sculpted into a chunky, smooth flower shape and topped with a 6mm natural white shell pearl alongside a sparkling 3mm faceted amethyst bead. All components are securely wire wrapped together and the earrings are finished with 925 sterling silver earring hooks for hypoallergenic comfort and lasting shine.
