These little suns were born from a love of brightness in the darkest months — a reminder that joy and warmth can be handmade. Inspired by folk festivals, Indian mirrors, and the kind of treasures you might find in an old curiosity cabinet, each one is a celebration of colour, light, and play.
I wanted to capture that moment when sunlight hits something unexpected — a jewel, a tassel, a mirror — and it glimmers just enough to make you smile. They’re small acts of happiness, stitched and assembled from felt, pompoms, beads, and mirrors in every shade of the rainbow.
Part of my Curious Adornments collection for Ena Green Designs, these suns carry a little of that same wonder I find in storytelling, markets, and handmade traditions from around the world — each one different, each one shining in its own way.

Description:
Bring a burst of handmade sunshine to your tree or home with this joyful felt sun decoration. Each piece is individually made using layers of colourful felt, hand-embellished with sparkly jewels and a mirror centre that catches the light beautifully.
A bright satin ribbon loop makes it easy to hang, while the lower section features a tactile mix of a soft pom-pom, glass bead and silky tassel. Every one is a little different, celebrating colour, craft and curiosity.
