Full description
This hand-stitched brooch is made from a silk base wrapped around a recycled aluminium brooch form. I've decorated it with lace and net scrap, along with some beads and sequins and a good quantity of French knots, all stitched with silk thread. On the back, which is made from a piece vintage linen, there is a safety pin for attaching the brooch to your clothes etc.
The brooch measures 5cm (2in) approx. in diameter.
This unique brooch would make an ideal birthday or Christmas gift or it could be worn by a bride or wedding guest and would also make a great pearl (30th) wedding anniversary present.
