I love experimenting with colour, and really liked the contrast between the vivid sunset and the deeply shadowed trees and animals at the bottom of the picture. Originally intended to be presented on a wooden stand, it became clear that wasn't an option once I had finished the painting, as the Deer and the trees were too near the edge! My fantastic framer has worked her magic and the entire painting is visible in the frame. I think the gold colour really complements the colours in the painting. It would make a nice pop of colour on any wall.

Full description
This painting shows a colourful sunset sky, over a shadowed landscape. Although the sky is the star, there are deer grazing at the bottom of the picture.
Painted on canvas board, this painting has been treated with a fixative to preserve longevity. It has been professionally framed in an antique gold colour, with standard fixings for hanging on the wall on the reverse.
The painting measures approx 19cm x 19cm, including the frame.
