The butterfly is commonly used in Chinese symbolism to represent joy and warmth.
The Romans associated butterflies with wedded bliss, and in Japan two butterflies indicate that a marriage is blessed.
In Christianity they are a symbol of resurrection, which would make them a good choice as an Easter gift.

Full description
These dainty earrings feature two quality Austrian crystal glass butterflies in the colour 'jet', one 8mm and one 6mm, separated by a 4mm 'jet' crystal bicone and highlighted with 2mm gold vermeil spacers.
The beads are threaded onto gold vermeil pins and hung from gold vermeil ear-wires.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with 18K gold.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, these would make a lovely gift for a birthday, anniversary, Valentine, Mother's Day or a treat for yourself.
Perfect stocking filler or Secret Santa gift for a nature lover.
The simple black and gold colour scheme will match just about any outfit.
These drop earrings measure approximately 1.25 inches (3cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
