Selenite’s name is derived from the Greek for ‘moon’ due to its silvery white appearance. It forms in the shape of rods, most famously in the Naica Mine in Chihuahua, Mexico where over millions of years some have grown to the height of several storey buildings.
These particular stones are from Morocco and the light blue dye really shows the way light reflects like satin inside the stone. Selenite is thought to be the stone of ‘white light’, helping to cleanse and absorb negative energies.

A pair of delicate chain drop earrings with cream mother of pearl butterfly charms topped with blue coloured selenite stones.
All chain, earring hooks and connectors are made using silver plated wire.
