This piece of artwork was inspired by a scene which I photographed along the south shore of Bridlington on the wonderful east coast near to where I live. This beach stretches for many miles and is a wonderfully flat place to enjoy a sea shore walk.
Lucky as I am to be living on the coast, I am always on the lookout for great scenery to use as a basis for my art, and this area of coastline has plenty of interesting features and is simply beautiful and well worth capturing on canvas.
I enjoy using the pointillism style of painting, and thousands of dots were created to make up this relatively small image.

Artwork created in the Pointillism style using dots to create an image.
This piece of art is seashore themed, painted with acrylics on canvas.
Showing the sea, sand and sky from one of my favourite beaches on the south shore of Bridlington, the image was created from a photograph which I took when spending time out walking in this very pretty area of the east coast close to where I live.
The canvas itself is 15cm square and the outer wooden frame is 20cm square.
The painting has a light coat of satin varnish to protect the finish as does the natural light wooden frame.
