I love knitted fairy lights; I think they look really cute and fun. It was easy enough to work out how to make them. Now I find them quite addictive to make (often if I’m a passenger in the car!) and they use up yarn oddments beautifully!!

Full description

Cute fairy lights knitted from various yarns.

Each bulb is knitted, sewn up and stuffed with polyester stuffing. A small knitted cap is then sewn onto the bulb. The cord is also knitted, and then each finished bulb is sewn onto the cord. A string of bulbs takes around 8-10 hours to complete.

These are unashamedly Christmas colours (IMHO!) although if you love a bold primary colour theme, these are just the job at any time!! We are currently staying in a beautiful holiday cottage, so I couldn’t resist photographing them adorning a fireplace that is crying out for Christmas decorations! I think they look very at home here! But they look great on a shelf or tree (which is where my mum in law displays hers. All year round!).

Thank you so much for looking!
