I love myths and fantasy, going away for a little day dream when I feel like it. Mermaids are creatures that have always fascinated me and I wanted to create a collection of jewellery in copper, such a beautiful and underrated metal. So I've started my collection with her and will be adding more creatures, both real and "unreal" to the collection in the coming weeks. I hope you enjoy seeing them take shape.

Full description
This sweet copper mermaid is handmade, not laser cut. She has been made using sheet copper from a design I draw from my imagination. she is available on a handmade black (1mm or 1.5mm) or turquoise 1mm waxed cotton cord necklace with a hook clasp.
Mermaids are such magical creatures with so many different stories attached to them from all over the world and she would make a fabulous gift to someone who adores the myths and legends.
She measures roughly 63mm in length and 40 mm in width at the widest part. They are cut out using a jewellers saw and so there may be slight variations to the pictures, I usually don't get the hair the same on every one, so if you would like a picture of the one you will receive before going ahead and purchasing please let me know and I will email you a photo.
As I'm sure you are aware copper does tarnish by going a little darker over time. I find that using Brasso does the trick to brighten up copper again, so would recommend using this if she goes a darker shade and you wish for her to shine again.
She will be wrapped in tissue paper and placed in a chiffon bag when purchased. I advise you to not to wear her when in water, if using perfumes or lotions please don't allow the solution to go on her. This will keep her at her best for you.
If you like her but would prefer a smaller size I do have a smaller version of her (roughly 33 by 23mm).
