As a child I loved walking, whether it be along the coast, through woodlands, in to town even, but my favourite walks were on the Isle of Arran when we used to visit my Grannie. There used to a hill near to the house with spectacular views from the top. Along the way up, the woodlands and brooks, the sounds and smells of the surroundings made it an adventure for a little person!
I think this is why so much of my art is influenced by nature and its therapeutic effects. I love nature and that of Scotland (childhood) and Scandinavia (holidays) seem to be influencing me so much right now.

Full description
This Untitled painting is inspired from memories of walking on the Isle of Arran as a small child, I loved those holidays visiting my Grannie, walks through stunning woodlands, paddling in the sea and the views from the top of hills were breath-taking. The painting combines the magic of mountains with the beauty of wildflowers. A bit like peeking over the flowers at the mountains.
This painting was created in acrylics on a 20 x 10cm rectangular stretched canvas before sealing with a gloss varnish and placed in a black floater frame. The overall size of the piece in its frame is 22 x 12cm.
The artwork will be presented in a brown box on arrival, with recycled cardboard strips to cushion its transport. This allows for a secure transport and the easy wrapping if it is to be a gift.
It is advised that the painting is not kept in a room that is subject to high humidity such as a laundry room or bathroom.
