I wanted to make a piece centred around a crystal ball, and created an abstract figure as a combination of a traditional fortune teller and a witch. I wanted it to be colourful, mystical and atmospheric, with caricatured feminine features, bright colours and themes more a celebration of female sensuality than the traditional "ugly" witch.

Full description
This is an A4 print of my painting Crystal Ball Witch on 300 gsm matte card. The original painting was done with a combination of acrylic paint, metallic markers, gel pens and water soluble pastels.
The style is whimsical and spooky cute, with more of a caricatured and Bohemian spin on the traditional witch image. An abstract background of misty blue and purple spirals adds to the mystical atmosphere of the piece and an extra layer of sparkle was added to the fortune teller's dangle earrings with gel pen.
