I worked on this piece for a while, usually on dark and cold autumn and winter evenings. I wanted to create an imaginative illustration like the kind I enjoyed looking at in books as a child where you could spot many different details, and combined that with my love of everything spooky!

Full description
This is an A4 sized print of my painting Dreams in the Witch House, using 300 gsm matte card. This image is also available as a greetings card, which uses the more light reflective silk card.
The original painting was done using mainly acrylic paint, as well as various markers and pens as I like to use a bit of everything whilst creating art. The scene depicts the interior of a witch's home on a cold winter night, with a full moon visible from the window, a cauldron bubbling in the middle of the room and the witch's familiar, a black cat, guarding the witch's broom. Various witchy wares can be spotted throughout the room, which is painted in a whimsical but spooky style.
