The original inspiration was my Guatemalan worry dolls and the tree was taken from a collage of lino prints that I did ages ago and it nearly ended up in the bin but, I saved it as I liked some aspects of it - mainly the tree !

Full description
The little tree is made from linen and cotton fabric that has been entirely hand stitched and then embroidered. The little lady has been made from papier mache ,with a painted face . She has been wrapped with embroidery thread for her upper body and her skirt is a tiny piece of cotton fabric. She is little bit bigger than a Guatemalan worry doll and I based her on the 6 that I have in a little bag !
She is about 3 cms tall, the tree is about 7.50cms and the bobbin is a little over 4 cms. The whole ensemble is just short of 12cms. The vintage bobbin has been wrapped with embroidery thread. That's it!
