I started to make a spider web doodle for Halloween using red card, and as I became more immersed in it, I began experimenting with different things to make it into the spooky image it ended up as! I used colour contrast and the spider imagery to enhance the gothic style of this piece.

Full description
This is an A4 print on 300 gsm matte card, of my original artwork Web of Spiders. I completed this in the run-up to Halloween 2024, originally a doodle with metallic marker pens on red card, featuring a spider web.
It turned into a piece that I became more immersed in than I expected and I ended up adding spider stickers to the web, all scurrying towards the centre of the web. I further edited the image into more of a colour-contrasted vignette style to lean into the spooky vibe for the art print.
